Treats

Our boys have their own business and we make all of our treats, fresh and natural for our girls, but it is dangerous and can be LETHAL for a bulldog to have a raw hide!  DO NOT give them a raw hide.....we tried that at first, before we knew better and almost lost our Leia.  So people ask....what DO you give your babies..to chew on??

Well besides our homemade treats, we give them "Kong balls"....there are the name brand ones and the off brand ones that can be found at Walmart (and are cheaper too).  These are rubber toys that can be filled with spray cheese, peanut butter, etc.  Our girls, Libby and Leia will knock you down for these.  Literally...ask me how I know, lol.  Also you don't need to get the brand name spray cheese.  The generic Cheese Whiz in the grocery section works JUST fine (and has the same ingredients) and it will save you between $3-$4 per can...ridiculous what you pay for name brand huh?  Especially when you go through as much of it as we do!

Bulldog Tips

Our next tip is for their folds.....to clean their folds, just use Acne pads (Stridex or generic) from the store.....they are great for getting into their folds and helping them stay clean :)

Snack: Bulldog Reeces Cups

1 pkg of Carob chips
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup yogurt
Mini muffin pan
mini muffin liners

Blend yogurt with peanut butter in blender.  Pour into mini muffin liners.  Freeze.  Melt Carob chips and put over peanut butter mixture in cups.  Keep in the freezer......Yummy!

Be careful!  You might get knocked down for it :)

I am starting a new series called Bulldog Tips.  These are for people that either already own a bulldog or one of ours or is looking to own one in the near future.   It could be recipes for treats, advice, health and well being etc.
In these, you will see pictures of our PAST puppies from past litters.

How to Not be a part of a scam??

We get emails all the time of people that have been unfortunately taken advantage of by a scam. Yes I do feel sorry for them, but I also don't. It is their job also to do their homework, in order to know if something is right, before they put out money.

After our first bulldog, Molly died, we were on a search for a new baby. We made many calls and emails. One of the first emails I did, was an email to a lady in TX, so I thought. This lady was a liason for a person in Africa. That was my first indication. There WAS NO PHONE NUMBER. (EDITED: They are recently able to find ways to use local numbers within the USA!!! So beware)

 He gave me this sob story of how he was there, was a vet, owned these bulldogs that he couldn't take care of. I was suspicious from the beginning. Then I heard a story on our local television about people that were at the airport waiting for bulldog puppies, that never came, AND THEY GAVE THE SAME STORY THAT I WAS TOLD IN THE EMAIL.

It makes me sick everytime I look online at different websites and even our local AJC when I see SO MANY scams, and they are. They are flooded with them. Here are some ways that you and your family are not taken advantage of:

1. There is NO SUCH THING AS A $500 (or $800) English Bulldog. When you see an ad that advertises $500 for a pup and then it says "for adoption", 99.99% if not 100% of the time it is a scam!

**note here** Bulldogs are not only VERY difficult to breed but difficult to raise. The out of pocket for breeders can be very expensive, in the THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS and that is before we sell one puppy. They can also have a high mortality rate, so there is no such thing as a "cheap bulldog". Also, if you are looking for a "free" or "cheap" English bulldog, I need to mention something. They are an expensive breed to raise. If you don't have the money to put up front for the breed, then you don't have the money nor do you have any business raising and owning an English Bulldog!

2. 100% of the time they will either use no phone number or a fake one. If you cannot physically talk to someone, then there is a problem!!!
3. Alot of the times the scammers will use yahoo or gmail for their email accounts.
4. If you see multiple ads for the same puppy with different emails, then it is a scam
5. If they mention Western Union or AFRICA or NIGERIA in their emails, 150% of the time IT IS A SCAM!
6. Alot of the times you look at the picture, and there is only one picture, usually a very blurry and pixled picture of this so called $500 (or even $800) for adoption puppy, it is because THEY STOLE IT FROM SOMEONE ELSE!
7. If they advertise an English Bulldog FOR FREE or For Adoption, It is a SCAM!
8. When you call someone, or ask someone regarding a pup, ask them to take a RECENT (within 24 hours) picture of the pup, with a piece of paper in the picture with YOUR NAME ON IT or something specific like a crushed can!
9. Ask for a vets name and phone number! A reputable breeder won't have any problems giving that out!
10.  If they text, call or email you at odd times of night, beware. I was recently contacted by a Nigerian scammer that used a SC number and was texting me at 4 am!
11.  Ask for multiple photos of the puppy FROM BIRTH, including photos of the PARENTS!

Please be careful during these difficult and hard times, not to be taken a apart of this scam!

***PUPPY IS MICROCHIPPED FOR OWNER AND PUPS PROTECTION.  THIS OWNER AGREES TO REGISTER PUP, UNDER ITS SPECIFIC UPC MICROCHIP NUMBER WITHIN 48 HOURS OF TAKING POSSESSION OF PUP.  REGISTRATION CAN BE DONE ON WWW.PETLINK.NET.  THERE WILL BE A $19.99 FEE FOR REGISTRATION AND IS PUT INTO A DATABANK! You must renew the registration, yearly!*** Your pup’s UPC number is on their AKC papers AND down below!

This puppy is a LIFETIME commitment.  If for ANY reason during ANY time of the life of the dog, you cannot or will not be able to take care of the dog, you are by law, legally bound to turn possession over to Beth Noble for her to place in a adequate home for the animal to be taken care of.  Puppy will be returned at the expense of the owner without guarantee of any money returned.  Each case will be handled individually and examined.

A licensed veterinarian must examine your puppy within 48 hours of delivery. Should there be a problem the breeder’s veterinarian will interpret the report and if he concurs, then a replacement puppy will be exchanged for the original puppy. There will be no cash or credit refunds. West Georgia Bullies offers replacement only. 

Breeder must be notified at once at the onset of the problem, in writing, with a report from the veterinarian.

We guarantee the puppy to be free from life-threatening congenital defects for one year from date of birth.

If the puppy is proved to have a congenital defect within one year and is returned to the breeder, all shipping charges are the responsibility of the purchaser. The breeder will pay shipping on the replacement puppy.

All vet charges incurred by the purchaser are the sole responsibility of the purchaser and will under no circumstances be paid by the breeder.

No replacement puppy will be given if the puppy has been spayed, neutered, or euthanized without the breeder’s permission.

Replacement puppy will be mutually agreed upon by both parties and be on comparable bloodlines. It is understood that the replacement puppy may not be from the same exact parents of the original puppy.

There are certain disorders that may be caused be environmental factors for example: allergies, thyroid dysfunction, demodectic mange, and other autoimmune disorders that are not covered in this guarantee.

There are also breed specific general issues that are not covered by this guarantee including cherry eye, tight tail pockets, skin irritations.

This puppy is not guaranteed to be show quality and is sold for pet/companion purposes.

This puppy is not guaranteed to be breedable.

This puppy is not guaranteed for undecending testicals in males.

It is further understood that no guarantee or representation has been made with respect to the sold puppy except as set forth in writing in this agreement.

If a conflict or disagreement arises, the buyer is to work things out with the Breeder in private or in person, phone or email.  If the buyer slanders, threatens, defames, makes any accusations including false through email, online, any form of social media, facebook, twitter, instagram in any form, the buyer will be subjected to a fine of $3000 plus court and lawyer fees.

In the event of any litigation pertaining to the puppy covered by this Health Guarantee and Sales Agreement, both the Breeder and the Purchaser shall assume exclusive responsibility for their own attorney's fees and costs. This Health Guarantee and Sales Agreement is hereby entered into exclusively and wholly executed in the State of Georgia and litigation arising from any possible breach of this Health Guarantee and Sales Agreement shall be exclusively adjudicated in the County of Douglas, in the State of Georgia, exclusively under Georgia law. All parties hereby submit themselves to the exclusive jurisdiction of said courts. Should any provision of this agreement be held invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
